Fire Destroys Dwelling West of City on Lerdo
A small dwelling north of Lerdo Road five miles west of Shafter was burned early Tuesday morning. Mr and Mrs John B Wilson resided there, the home owned by E L Goss of Bakersfield. Fire began about 7 00 am and totally destroyed the structure. The Wilsons may work for a General Construction firm run by Goss. A separate brush fire near Enos Lane, one mile south of Rio Bravo school, caused little damage Friday evening due to a gas meter issue and quick repairs by a Gas Company crew.
