Class of 1943 reflects wartime school life and reunion
The Shafter High School Class of 1943 is depicted through wartime activities and postwar reunions. Students joined cotton-picking drives, practiced army-style physical training, and supported the war effort via clubs and fundraisers. The Laurion yearbook records sports, service flags, and notable graduates, detailing postwar reunions in 1968, 1973, and 1978 with many staying in California or returning for gatherings.
