Larry Gaeta and Stanley B. Witcher of Shafter graduated December 28 from the California Highway Patrol Academy in Sacramento. Gaeta is assigned to West Los Angeles, Witcher to Baldwin Park Area. All new CHP officers receive 16 weeks of cadet training. The patrol has 5,500 officers covering 90,000 miles of state highways and county roads.
