Kent Roberts closes Bakersfield Open Forum series
Kent Roberts, foreign correspondent and lecturer, will conclude the Bakersfield Open Forum winter series with a talk on The Twain Shall Meet next Thursday at 8 p.m. in the East Bakersfield High School auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Roberts, a World War II lieutenant commander and Stanford graduate, has traveled widely and previously spoke at Shafter and Richland gatherings. The series, sponsored by Bakersfield Evening High School, ends six lecture program with two films. Robert H. Young is forum director. East Bakersfield High School sits at Mt. Vernon and Quincy streets.
