City Clerk Reports on Money Standing At Monday Meeting
City Clerk Bill Johnston presented a financial report to the City Council. Cash holdings totaled 29 500 96 with bank accounts at 74 488 68, leaving 61 194 11 free funds for general use after restricted funds and time deposits. The budget shows 396 371 income and 500 355 expenditures with 64 988 for a police building and 53 300 for streets. the Shafter Public Utility District budget was transferred in with 79 991 66 income and 125 345 97 expenditures, including a new ground level storage tank.
