The Gideons will present a service at the First Baptist Church on Lerdo Highway Sunday morning. The Gideons, a group of Christian business men, aim to place Bibles in hotels, schools, hospitals and institutions nationwide. Everyone is welcome to attend.
At a Ministerial Association meeting the Sunrise Easter Service was arranged for Easter morning at the High School athletic field. Rev Bernard E Andrews was chosen as preacher and a youth meeting at the Baptist Church 7 30 p m will plan the program.
The Congregational Church received new furniture last week including a Communion table a baptismal font and two pulpit chairs as anonymous gifts. The additions enhance the Chapel’s appearance and convenience and reflect a spirit of devotion from the anonymous givers.
A. D. Jackman was appointed as the Wasco Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture manager, replacing the former secretary-manager title. The change follows a National Association of Commercial Organizations recommendation and aims to improve operations and outreach for Wasco.
