The Shafter facility received high marks from CDC personnel who reviewed 90 operational areas and found 85 compliant. RLSD considers school reform plan amid parental concerns
The RLSD board delayed a restructuring proposal that would consolidate students and save about 500000 over five years due to negative input from parents. Bus routes would shrink, miles traveled drop, and the plan faced time constraints. Developer fees at 1.65 per SF would add revenue with RLSD earning 1.09 and Shafter High School 56 cents.
