Shafter loses a cherished canine celebrity Harry dies after stray incident
In Shafter, Jim Holt mourns the death of his popular dog Harry and his daughter Harriett, a Wasco-bound collie. Authorities point to possible poisoning as the cause while Holt recalls the dogs’ bond with his motorcycle life and the Venture Touring Society. Pigeon problem updated in city letters
