Frost Elected New President of Shafter Chamber of Commerce
Emil Jack Frost publisher of the Shafter Press was elected president of the Shafter Chamber of Commerce at a board reorganization Tuesday at the Shafter Motel. He will assume duties at the January 19 dinner at Veterans Memorial Hall succeeding 1969 president Roy Kerber. Robert Millwee was named vice president and H. W. Kelly was reelected secretary. Allen Johnson renamed treasurer. Directors at the meeting included Bonner Beel Bob Bann Bud Johnson Joe Kirk and Millar La Grange. Regular board meetings were set for the second and fourth Friday at noon at the Shafter Motel. William G Sammons of 255 Elm was booked for drunken driving after his car struck Henrys Garage at 676 k Lerdo on Dec 8.
