Shafter Council Clears Path for RTC Facility Purchase
Shafter City Council approved the financing for buying the Return to Custody facility from Gardemeyer Development after a special meeting. City Manager Wade McKinney said bond underwriters and counsel outlined documents and risk protections, with a $20.5 million CDC-backed loan to be repaid from other revenue sources.
