SWID seeks low head irrigation system design
The SWID board discusses water contract terms with the Bureau of Reclamation. Bureau officials favor a higher head pipe and preapproved plans, rejecting mortar joint low-cost designs. The project would be built in four units using rubber gasketed reinforced pipe under a standard plan. Chairman John J. Peters Jr. led the June meeting with all board members present.
