Water for East Side Sought by Federal Engineers

Engineers J P Head and Edward Morgan say the plan would deliver 1.5 to 2 million acre feet annually from the Yuba and American rivers to areas south of the Chowchilla river, within the California Water Plan and not competing with the Feather River Project. Preliminary work suggests no water exchanges would be needed, though some exchanges might be desirable in certain cases.
