Plans for a three day Path finder Camporee by Shafter Seventh day Adventist church youths were completed today under director Mrs M M Fenderson. About 60 Pathfinders from the area will travel Friday to the Adventist convention grounds near Soquel to camp outdoors and cook meals over campfires for practical outdoor living experience. The program includes camp training and outdoor activities designed to give the youngsters practical skills.
In the town meeting the H S Concert drew attendees including Clarice Mouser, Mary Brown, Bill Davidson, Simon Stimpson, and Louise Fuller. The crowd featured Constable Warren and Olin Garrett among others as participants moved to religious instruction during the Camporee.
The show will be judged by students and adults with the top vote bought by the high school for 590 dollars. Marish notes adults felt unqualified to vote last year but the club wants all to vote regardless of artistic background. Everyone attending the PTA barbecue on Thursday April 26 can view the exhibit.
Farrell notes the summer league leads the county in participation. The meeting invites all interested in managing or sponsoring teams across the leagues, as declared by the director.
