Spelling Bee and Language Festival Run by Richland Schools
Richland Intermediate Lerdo and Junior High held two language events in March the Oral Language Festival and the Spelling Bee. Over 100 students qualified for the first spelling round across grades 4-8 with top finishers listed by grade. District spelling saw Gabby Munoz take first with Tad Spohn second. Gabby advanced to the regional bee on March 13. Verse Choirs and oral interpretation and prepared speech contests yielded multiple awards at local and regional levels with teachers named.
