Shatter High Announces Young Woman of the Year Show

Meeting Defines Path for Shafter Cotton Research Station

A March 25 meeting involving growers UC and ARS with Rep. Bill Thomas set a plan to keep the U.S. Cotton Research Station in Shafter open and staffed by ARS for now. The station will operate as a satellite until Kearney Field Station opens in five to eight years, with ULC set to take over management in 1992 and ARS continuing involvement.
