Shafter High Generals Band Fundraiser Date Set
The Shafter High School Generals Marching Band plans a fundraiser on Saturday April 20 from 10 am to 3 pm. Members will march through residential areas performing mini concerts and soliciting donations with about 30 parents assisting. Commission approves temporary church in Shafter site
Shafter Planning Commission on April 9 approved a conditional use permit for Bible Truth Tabernacle to operate a church at 316 State Avenue for one year. Restrictions limit services to 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday with Sunday hours unrestricted. Parking must meet up to 75 spaces at full capacity, with overflow possible on adjacent State Street lots.
