Honor T N Hauser Dead in Hardin County After Long Life
Thomas N Hauser a longtime Hardin county resident died at his Union area home after a long illness. Born in North Carolina in 1822 he migrated to Indiana then Iowa in 1850 joining his wife Nancy Bayles with nine children surviving him. A republican he served a term in the state legislature and was honored for his honesty. Funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home with Rev Eugene Curless officiating and burial in the Hauser cemetery.

Mrs Lois Wheeler Dies at 86 in Clay Township
Mrs Lois Wheeler aged 86 years 11 months died at her home in Clay township Monday afternoon after a years long illness. She came with her husband to Hardin county nearly fifty years ago from New York state where they wed in 1841. Survived by husband deceased since 1861 and four children Amelia Rambo Roland Morris and Emma. Funeral from the home this afternoon with Rev Stanley, Eldora cemetery interment.

Animal Husbandry Grads In Demand At Ames College
The Animal Husbandry department at Iowa State College reports its largest graduating class yet with graduates filling lucrative positions. About 86 percent work as farm or ranch managers, with starting salaries from 1200 to 1500 dollars and some exceeding 2000. Notably, Don Griswold secured a top post at Texas Agricultural College.
