Town and county items preview June events in Eldora and Hardin County. Marriage licenses issued, farms and new homes planned, roads debated, churches host gatherings, and local merchants announce summer sales and hours. Weather teased as unpredictable with hints of needed rain.
A careful record notes arrivals and visits in town. Frank Leslie from Iowa Falls and C M Runkle attending the 12th Iowa reunion at Clermont were seen, with many others traveling for family visits, medical appointments, and social events.
Local notes from Herald reporters list Mrs. J. K. Carter helper and Des Moines trip, new daughter for Will Clingerman, Luther Carter back from Penn College, Ida Fowler staying with grandmother, Nellie Mossman visiting Eldora relatives, Canton Carter and Jessie Farris at Penn College commencement, Mrs. W. H. Ross traveling to Ohio to see her ill father, and shelled corn at the Iowa Central elevator.
Ackley residents Henry Greer dined at W A Wickham's. Ray Strahorn and wife visited Mr kermans in Kildora. Mrs Jno Milliken of Macy saw her father Joe Huse. Fred Kirkpatrick and family of Owasa visited here last Sunday. Miss Mortie Wilson stayed from Saturday to Wednesday near Berlin. Mrs 78 P Johnston near Berlin visited by Wm Mogel and W A Wickham. Strawberries plentiful. Henry Humphrey sold 100 quarts. S Syverson Eldora and I Doud Berlin hosted fishing party, stayed at J B Quiggles. Colver lost a fat hog en route to market. Bert Hand visiting Webster City for dressmaking. Artie Heard among sick. Riley Sheets and wife ill again. Henry Cummings held corn plowing bee Wednesday. Ethel Doud improving after bronchitis. H Bradfield family visited Dean's near Hardin City. Gravel train repairing the Sip line nearby.

Excursion offered via Nickel Plate routes from June 25 to 27 and July 1 to 5 at popular prices. City Ticket Office at 111 Adams St and Union Ticket Office at Auditorium Annex Chicago handle bookings.
The Bryson restaurant is closed for invoice and has been sold to an Eldora man who will take charge at once. The Union Creamery is producing over 4000 pounds of butter weekly and handles a large cheese business. Last week cheese shipments totaled about 5000 pounds. Miss Carrie Faust of Eldora, who closed Maple Hill school term, has been engaged for next year. Vivian Gibson closed Concord township school and returned home to Eldora. New assistant principal and grammar school teacher appointments were made at Radcliffe. Editorial Association enjoyed a fine time in Eldora on June 15 with praise for the banquet and city hospitality.
Mayor Eis D. Ronn warns boys not to use firecrackers or fireworks inside city limits until after dawn on July Fourth. Violators will face arrests. Eldora Iowa June 25 1903.
