A misunderstanding caused townspeople and country visitors to expect an open air Eldora band concert in the square last Wednesday. The band announced at its recent meeting that it will hold a weekly open air concert in the square at 8 o'clock each Wednesday, weather permitting, with a rain date the following evening. With a $2 membership fee added an annual meeting of the National Educational Association announces tickets available through the Nickel Plate road from July 2 inclusive, return travel July 8 to 12 inclusive without deposit with the joint agent. A further return extension to September 1 requires depositing the return portion with the joint agent and paying 50 cents for execution. Superior train service and fine dining curricals an American Club plan priced from 3i to $1, plus jacourte service. Mark J. Funky in Alden Times defends Alden Township voting against Walsh claims. He cites no contract or coercion and asserts Alden’s election was clean, while criticizing Iowa Falls and Jackson Eldora township irregularities. The editorial defends county procedure and rejects ring accusations.
Eldora Iowa hosts the annual stockholders meeting of the Chicago Iowa Dakota Railway Company on July 8 1903 at 10 00 am to elect directors and handle other business. Secretary J B Redfield signs the notice.
