Three angry English travelers returned to Seattle aboard the Northern Pacific after cheating scammers, but were stopped at Woodinville junction. The trio then reclaimed their money, bought proper tickets, and vowed to avoid scalpers in the future. The incident left them with a lasting memory of Seattle and the Woodinville halt.

The county commissioners sold the cattle on the county farm to Charles Pennington for 1002.50 dollars. Seventeen cows, three calves, and a yearling were included. All other personal property on the farm has been sold except the hay, which will be sold next week.
