Two area men join University of Idaho on campus October 22 23 for the first long range planning workshop. Dr J P Munson Sandpoint regent and Rep Marion Davidson Bonners Ferry attend alongside faculty administrators and state education leaders to craft a university goals statement and establish a planning structure.

Plans For Solid Waste Incinerator In Inland Northwest
SPOKANE UP I JOHN L JOHNSON administrative assistant for Pack Rivers Industries says plans are proposed for a 24 million electrically generated solid waste incinerator serving eastern Washington and northern Idaho. The project aims to cut pollution, reduce land needs, recycle waste into power, and lower disposal costs. Readiness depends on grant funding sought for 75 percent coverage. Readership would include seven N Idaho counties and several Washington counties with waste totals rising from 710000 tons this year to 880000 by 1976 and about a million by 1980.
