Bonner County election officer Doris Kenney worked at Sandpoint Senior High School all day registering students who will be 18 by the next general election. She will visit Priest River High School on Wednesday and Clark Fork High School on Thursday to register eligible student voters at those locations.
Dr. William Morton of Sandpoint, longtime school board member, will be installed as president of the Idaho State Trustees Association at the annual convention November 4 to 6 in Twin Falls. The event will bring about 300 trustees from across the state with sessions on trustee accountability and education policy.

Pledges were per mile with a 10 cent maximum. final totals rise to about 30 000 with December 1 Shearing. Mrs Harriet Cameron chaired the event noting only three registrants did not finish.
Sandpoint hosts its first Disabled American Veterans post with a charter ceremony at 7 30 p m Wednesday October 27 in the Washington Water Power building. State Officer Gene Palmer and Sandpoint Mayor Floyd Gray will welcome attendees as DAV officers present the charter to the new post in a ceremony attended by local disabled veterans.
