Middle Income Housing Opens In Sandpoint

Pend Oreille Village in Sandpoint offers two and three bedroom middle income units funded by government subsidies. Occupancy is set for July 1 with rent scaled to wages and utilities paid. The project, built by Collins Construction, has 24 units now and will take applications soon due to extensive approval paperwork.

Timber Sales Bidder Activity in Kaniksu Forest Auction

Three timber sales were offered by oral auction in Kaniksu National Forest on Monday June 26. Diamond International Corporation and Georgia Pacific led bidding on sawlog quantities with price increases from appraised values. Pack River Company and Idaho Forest Industries participated while Porcupine sale drew no bids. proposed two part sale includes conventional and skyline logging.
