California man pleads guilty to murder in Idaho killings
Sacramento man Michael Wren Rempage 27 pleaded guilty in Rexburg Idaho to three counts of second degree murder for the gunshot deaths of three Mexican American farm workers last August. The plea was entered before Seventh District Judge Williard Burton.

Weather storm moves from Idaho to Great Lakes region
A strong Idaho storm moved on as winds dropped from above 90 mph in Idaho to 28 mph in the Great Lakes area. About 300 people in eastern Idaho faced 17 foot snow drifts blocking roads toward the Wyoming border, with sheriff deputies delivering food and medicine by snowmobile. National Reactor Testing Station workers were ferried home after roads closed into Idaho Falls, while Interstate 15 saw 100 stranded vehicles and U.S. 26 remained shut for snow drifts affecting skiers and travelers.

Idaho men charged in Aug slayings plead not guilty
Rempage and Joyce Frye, both charged with three counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder, pleaded innocent. Rempage faces possible life sentence on second degree murder plea with June 25 hearing. Frye held without bail in Teton County jail with court date to follow.

Suspect's Sanity Is Questioned in Spokane Case
A sanity examination was scheduled for James E. Boyd 27 Spokane to decide if the trial on charges of aiding and abetting murder and robbery should continue. A sanity commission was ordered to study Boyd who allegedly participated in the Bon March robbery Oct 16 and the shooting death of Peggy J Palmer 45. The co defendant Jerry Lewis 35 was shot by police and deemed mentally incompetent to aid in his defense.
