Special Season for Birds Extends in Idaho Rivers Areas
The Idaho hunting season for chukar partridge Huns and quail ends December 31 statewide but a special season runs to January 23 1972 along the lower Salmon and Snake rivers. Duck and goose seasons have varied dates with new licenses required January 1 and goose limits differing by region. Goose hunting is closed in eastern Idaho and open to Jan 2 in the southwest and Jan 9 in the north. The duck season ends January 9 in some counties and January 23 in others.
