Panel cites TV and relaxed standards in SAT score drop

It notes 1 million students take SAT annually, points to homework, grade inflation, and reduced required courses as factors while urging calm, community responsibility, and renewed reading and writing emphasis. The report also highlights the role of family and changing college prep during the 1960s.
