Saline library adopts film based checkout system
On October 4 Saline Public Library switches to a photographic circulation method used by Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Patrons must present a library card for each loan which is photographed with the book. Loans extend to four weeks with due dates the fourth Wednesday after borrowing. No more phone renewals. The system aims to speed transactions and reduce errors.
