Livestock Auction Brings Charity Bids and Big Sales
Universal Die Casting bought the Grand Champion Steer and Roesch and Delhey won the Grand Champion Lamb at a highly attended Saline Fair livestock auction. Proceeds from the lamb sales supported Saline Community Hospital, with lambs resold to four bidders for the benefit. The Reserve Champion steer went to R. G. Wahl and the Reserve Champion lamb to James Burmeister.

Hearing Set On Sidewalk Assessments In City
A hearing is scheduled for Thursday October 4 on special assessment districts 37 through 45 covering 43 lots in the Stage I sidewalk program. Owners who already installed sidewalks may be excluded.
