City Plants 26 Trees in Park and Lawn Extensions
City crews finished planting 26 trees, 24 on lawn extensions and two in Curtiss Park. Administrator Mike Strait said the sycamores range about ten feet high and that plans to transplant them from linens were dropped as the season ran late. Last year the city planted more than 120 trees in its first planting project, and few lots remain without a tree, Strait added.
