Saline Area School bond election proposed for new elementary
Registered voters in the Saline Area School District will vote December 14 on a 790000 bond to build a new elementary school and remodels at existing buildings. Saline Youths Injured in Car Crash Saturday
Three youths from Saline were hospitalized after a crash on Austin Road in Bridgewater Township. Raymond Feldkamp 20 driver Paul Marion 20 and Michael Frey 21 suffered injuries as their 1964 car rolled over and landed on its roof. Feldkamp and Marion were treated and released. Frey received care at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor where he remained hospitalized with multiple injuries.

Kids Cause Havoc at Disposal Site
A group of youngsters caused disruption at the sewage disposal plant, opening gate valves and extracting corks from filtration gates. Construction halted, pumping costs exceed $100, and the plant manager, Harry Bishop, worked overtime. Debris was dumped into treatment beds and a valve open incident polluted the Saline River after hours. Several children were found swimming in the digester and removed.
