Saline area to grow as Teamsters acquire Valley Farms
About 18,000 members of Teamsters Local 299 and families become part owners of Saline Valley Farms after last week’s sale. Harold Gray must vacate by July 1 as a recreation development plan unfolds with a $2 monthly per member contribution and new housing at Mill Valley Apartments opening in July. Five buildings at West Saline will hold 23 apartments each, with occupancy projected by September and leases initially taken by Saline residents.
