Dial-A-Ride to Begin Service in Saline on June 28
Saline area senior citizens and handicapped residents will gain Dial-A-Ride service starting June 28 funded by a one year state grant and administered by the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority. Seven new nine passenger vans with hydraulic lifts will serve riders aged 60 and over or disabled, with trips from Saline to Ann Arbor or outlying areas priced at 50 cents one way and one dollar round trip.

Saline Police Seek German Shepherd After Boy Bitten
A seven year old Saline boy was bitten on the cheek by a full sized medium brown German Shepherd with lighter brown underside and a silver tag. The dog was last seen near Mark Hannah Court on May 22 with another German Shepherd and a small terrier. Police do not seek prosecution of the owner and urge any sightings to call the Saline Police Department at 429 2511.

Weekend Fires Consume Barn and House Eaves Blaze
Firefighters responded Friday to Michael Renkiewicz home where eaves burned from an unknown cause. Sunday a barn at James Webb’s 5117 Austin Rd. burned completely, destroying a tractor and furniture. A small fire in a Salvation Army drop box at the A&P lot was contained with smoke damage only.
