Saline High School seniors have been notified as recipients of scholarships from colleges universities and the State of Michigan. Awards Night on June 6 will announce local and organization awards. Three School Candidates File Petitions for June Election
Nominating petitions filed for two Board of Education seats in the June 9 election. Incumbents Max Collins and Mrs. Robert Heiserman join new candidate Donald W. Tinkle of the University of Michigan. Voters will also decide on 10.85 mills for school operation including last year’s 7.54 mill renewal and 3.31 mill increase for staff salaries.

Hospital Auxiliary to Elect Officers

A car owned by Charles Wahl of 200 W McKay St was found damaged at Metropolitan Airport after being taken from the High School parking lot Friday afternoon. Recovered Saturday afternoon by the Wayne County Sheriff Department the vehicle had damage on both sides one flat tire and bent rims. Another car owned by Richard Desbrow of Manchester was reported stolen from the Ford Motor Co parking lot between 3 30 and 9 30 p m Saturday.

Dentists Aid Saline Mouthguard Program
Local dentists and assistants gathered at Saline High School to take impressions for custom mouthguards for about 100 football players. Spring Arts Festival Opens At Saline High This Weekend
The Saline High School art, industrial education, and music departments present the annual Spring Arts Festival over Friday Saturday and Sunday. The event features student work from 1968 69 with district regional and state awards and a Sunday concert by the High School Band and Chorus directed by Malcolm Danforth and Morris Risenhoover. The Sousa Award and National Choral Award will be presented to seniors, with a tribute to former Chorus director Lester McCoy. Tickets cost 50 cents students 75 cents adults and $2 families with proceeds aiding band expenses. Educational displays are free.
