Millpond flood scene prompts quick DPW action at bridge
Saline area residents called The Reporter last Wednesday as high waters swelled the Millpond bridge. Clyde Wellwood and his DPW crew dumped sand to shore up footings and supports. The paper promises a future column on the $30,000 millpond restoration program with expert testimony on spillway cuts and dam lowering without harming scenery.

Grange Euchre Tourney Closes at Pittsfield Grange
Pittsfield Grange wound up its 10 week euchre tournament and announced the winners. Top overall winners were Amann da Hughes Virginia Hieber and Ivah Hillis for women and Jim Harless Erwin Wiedmayer and Walter Hieber for men. Esther Green and Paul Hammond won final session prizes. Marie Galines captured the Joner and door prize went to Red Braun. The club plans another public fundraiser game night next Monday at 8 30 p m.
