Circus Uses Elephants To Pull Cars From Mud
Carson Barnes five ring circus at Milan on Tuesday June 20 faced heavy rain and a mud bound parking lot with 470 cars a fire truck and a school bus stuck. Elephants were hitched to vehicles and freed them within an hour amid a 3000 crowd. Afternoon show drew over 2000 but no free tow. District Court records show Howard LeBaron and Victor Cook of Saline pled guilty to speeding with $21 fines and 10 days costs each. Robert Miller of Ann Arbor pled guilty to careless driving and speeding with $34 fine and costs or 10 days.
