Korndyke a seven year old Holstein owned by Elton Frey of Ann Arbor produced 22 053 pounds of milk and 854 pounds of butterfat in 365 days. Michigan State University supervised the weighing as part of the Holstein Friesen Association of America breed improvement program.

The seventh annual Farm Council chicken barbecue served about 3400 dinners and 600 chicken halves Sunday. Advanced ticket sales doubled last year partly due to a 4 H ticket contest. Winners were Cheryl Henes 100 tickets wrist watch. Mrs Carl Seyfried 48 tickets transistor radio. Larry Egler 41 tickets pen and pencil set. Mrs Walter Wolfgang chaired the event.
