Celebrate 40th Anniversary of Julius and Laura Schnirring
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schnirr ing were honored at a surprise party on Friday celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Hosted by daughters and sons in law Edward East and Wilbert Diable at the Schnirr ing home on Lohr Road. They were married June 14 1923 at 4448 Lohr Rd by the late Dr. E C Stellhorn. The couple are lifelong Saline residents. She is the former Laura Lohr.

Mrs Lena Schenk Dies at 80 in Saline
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lena M. Schenk 80 of 214 Michigan Ave Saline who died Friday at Saline Community Hospital after months of illness. Born November 28 1882 in Flint she was married to Edwin B. Schenk in 1912. Survived by four children seven grandchildren and other relatives. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery followed services at Bahnmiller Funeral Home led by Rev Donald C. Kraushaar.

Glenn R. Clark of Saline will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Cleary College commencement exercises Saturday. He completed his degree in March after evening classes since 1959, with a 3.67 GPA and honors. He and his wife Martha live at 501 Canterbury Dr. with three children. his parents are Glenn W. and Mrs. Clark of 110 Pleasant Ridge Dr. He works for Ford Motor Co at the Dearborn Ford Division offices.

Services Held for Raymond Kuebler
Raymond Kuebler a 56 year old Freedom township farmer died Thursday in St Joseph Mercy hospital after months of illness. Born August 27 1906 he was the son of William Ferdinand and Katherine Blumenauer Kuebler. He had two living brothers Paul and Calvin and another Alfred who preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Sunday at Bahnmiller Funeral Home with Rev T W Menzel officiating. Burial followed in Bethel Church cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Bethel Church building fund.
