Robert Moranville 17 died when his car skidded on a washboard road near Bemis Road and struck a cement culvert. He was a high school senior and active in school activities. Passenger Thomas Mueller 14 injured. he was taken to hospital after walking to a passerby. Funeral held at St Andrew's Church. Kiwanis meet to view convention slides follows.

Boy Injured In Crash Says He Is Satisfactory

Head-on Collision In Rain Storm Injures Two Men
Two men were injured in a head-on collision during a brief thunderstorm. John M. Tornow 20 of Livonia and Ronald L. Bishop 19 of Ypsilanti were admitted to Saline Community Hospital with facial and wrist injuries and head cuts respectively. Police cited Bishop for driving too fast for conditions.

Band Shell Fund Surpasses Goal for Local Project
The K Shell fund surpassed the needed amount with 5325 raised from Schmid's Market and the Jaycees, exceeding the architect's estimate by 15. Local Office Broken Into For The Second Time
The H. I. Johnson Co. at 173 W. Michigan was broken into again this week. Don Martin a part time employee arrived at 11 20 p m to work on television repair and heard a rear window slam as an intruder searched the office and left by the front door after calling police. About 15 90 was taken from the cash register while a safe was opened but no other items were reported missing. Police note similarities to a prior November 29 1963 burglary where 115 was stolen.

Americans Win One Lose One for Saline Babe Ruth Team
The Saline Americans Babe Ruth squad split their week, forfeit by Dexter gives them a win, then lose 3-2 to Stockbridge. Mickey Davis started, three runs allowed before Dave Farrell relieved in the third, Farrell blanked Stockbridge thereafter. Thieves Steal Tools and Trees From Saline Hotel Site
Police report thefts during demolition of the Saline Hotel restaurant. Items missing include tools, a four foot fluorescent lights and two eight foot evergreen trees from the lot between the restaurant and Citizens Bank. A green station wagon driver removed the trees at about 10 p.m. last Wednesday. Also stolen was a $7 sign from 600 S Ann Arbor St driveway, reportedly taken by three youths.
