Bob Parker shifts from ambulance driver to medical shuttle operator
Bob Parker of Saline, long known as the Blue Streak Superior Ambulance driver, has begun moving patients in a 12 passenger Dodge bus after Superior lost its Washtenaw contract. He now serves Washtenaw and Wayne Counties with nonemergency trips to doctors, outings, picnics, shopping, and bowling. The bus features air conditioning, a wheelchair lift, first aid and oxygen, and can carry 12 passengers or five wheelchairs.

Summer Blood Drive Urges Saline Aid In Ann Arbor Unit
The Red Cross asks healthy residents 18 to 65 to donate this summer to offset blood shortages. Dr. Tibor Greenwalt notes 18 year olds gain the right to give life. Donations may occur every eight weeks, up to five times yearly. The Packard Street blood unit in Ann Arbor operates 10 am to 4 pm Mon Wed Fri and 2 pm to 8 pm Tue Thu.
