Picnic With Extra Treats Delayed by Fire Alarms
Saline firefighters and families planned an annual picnic on Legion grounds but three alarms interrupted. Rigs parked nearby, they fought fires near Old Creek Farms Bemis and Carpenter Roads, then returned to meals of steaks and corn as Asst. Chief Ray Alber said the food didn’t get cold.

Stork stops couple Andrew and Mrs Carrigan for a son born July 24 weighing 9 pounds 4 ounces. Tracey Michael born July 31 to Mr and Mrs Sheats of Saline.
