A grateful note thanks doctors volunteers Rotary Club for donor refreshments St. John’s Church women for meals and donors’ phone call organizers. Saline Area Blood Bank staff express appreciation for the week’s clinic and invite ads in The Reporter.
In Saline the Farm Bureau forms the Sod Busters with officers named Glen Hamlin as chairman and Clarence Wiebusch as discussion leader. The Saline High School Student Council will send four students to a Hillsdale model United Nations Assembly as representatives of White Russia. Saline Hornets defeat Flat Rock 54 to 50 led by Larson Feldkamp Miller and Steiner. Parking meters in Saline have raised 3216.87 with half covering meter purchases and expenses totaling 364.41. remaining fund balance 1244.02.
Callers Saturday included Earl Reimold and children. Friday evening Mr and Mrs Milton Reimold and family visited. Sunday visitors were Mr and Mrs Lawrence Wahr from Ann Arbor and Mrs Walter Egeler with Mary and Calvin Reimold.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kruger hosted a Saturday birthday gathering for son Norman with many relatives from Ypsilanti Southgate Howell Battle Creek Otsego and more attending. Church and community schedules for St James United Church of Christ Methodist and other local congregations are listed with weekly events and services.
The St James United Church of Christ held its annual meeting and elected Norman Wiedmayer to the Church Council Re elected to a term were Norman Wiedmayer Willard Hertler and Albert Finkbeiner Newly elected officers include Wiedmayer president Hertler vice president Finkbeiner treasurer Feldkamp financial secretary Handy secretary and Finkbeiner Girbach elders They will be installed during Sunday worship.
The January 29 meeting of the County Junior Leader Club in Rooms 1 and 2 of the County Building at 8 p.m. will set the year's program of work. The southern trip for Junior Leaders will be discussed and special entertainment is planned. all Washtenaw County Junior Leaders are urged to attend.
