Saline Board approves multi year string program plan
Saline Area Schools will start a five year string music program this fall with a one fifth time teacher assigned to fourth graders. About 40 students will be evaluated for instrument placement as the elementary ensemble begins in October. The program expands to middle and high school levels by year five with added wind players and a fully funded string teacher.

Saline Michigan expects its 1962 graduates to attend a Sept 16 reunion with golf at Meadowlane on US 12 starting 1 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. dinner at Leutheuser's Restaurant. Bob Weisenreder coordinates data sheets and reservations by Sept 15. dinner is $10.50 per couple or $5.25 per person.

Car Fire Damages Milan Woman's Vehicle. Break-In Reported at Local Elevator
Saline police responded to a car fire Aug 24 at 4 45 p m in the A and P lot 465 E Michigan Ave injuring only minorly. Jane Wotten of Milan owned the vehicle. Early Monday morning police investigated a break in at Saline Mercantile grain elevator offices 405 N Ann Arbor finding a ground floor window forced with nothing apparently missing. The incident remains under investigation.
