The winner will be crowned September 7 at 8 p.m. by predecessor Karol Engel and may enter next summer’s Miss Michigan State Fair. Yaktyak Dick Bignall arrives in the Saline area to take over as territory manager for John Deere, replacing George Cagney who moves to the Lansing branch. Dick, from Midland, lives with his wife and four children in Ann Arbor. Lois Niethammer and family visited. Lois hosts, then attends bridal shower for Lois and Gary’s friends meet. Gary, an Army lieutenant, has been stationed in Germany since August. The couple married July 29 in Chickasha Oklahoma.
