Plastic Surgeon and Six Osteopaths Join Local Staff
Saline Community Hospital expanded its medical staff to 19 active members adding one plastic surgeon and six osteopaths. Gerald Bahnmiller said the move aims to serve the wider area of about 44 000 people and to accommodate patients whose physicians are not on staff. New members include Robert M. Oneal M D plastic surgeon and three other doctors with backgrounds in osteopathy and surgery.

Jaycee Rodeo Set for September at Council Grounds
The 4th annual Jaycee Rodeo, hosted by Midwest Cowboys Association, runs September 20 and 21 with five major events plus a girls race. Tickets go on sale after today through Jaycee groups or Harold’s Barber Shop. adults $2, children five to twelve $1. Performances: 2 pm and 8 pm Saturday, and 2 pm Sunday.

District officers of the American Legion Auxiliary will be installed in a ceremony at 8 p m Saturday. Negotiators Report No Progress in School Contract Talks
After a four hour session with mediator Leo Cadwell the School Board and SEA negotiators reported no progress toward completing the 1969 70 contract. A new approach was proposed including potential multiple renewals and a one or more year term with reopeners. Both sides will meet again next Tuesday at 5 p.m. to continue discussions.

Local 299 plans a three day Labor Day weekend extravaganza at Saline Valley Farms to entertain about 100000 people. The event features carnival rides athletic events a beauty contest and a skydiving display from Ft Bragg with an all girl drum and bugle corps Riverview and a teen band contest. The Saline Fair horse show will be bigger and better with a new feature inviting all 4 H horse clubs to participate. Saline Hospital welcomes new maintenance and purchasing head
Michael Tam has been appointed manager of maintenance and purchasing at Saline Community Hospital. The 1966 Dundee High School graduate returns from three years in the Navy as a hospital corpsman and replaces Tom Fisher who enlisted. Tam, his wife and 19 month old daughter plan to move to Saline. he started duties August 4 after two years at Great Lakes Naval Hospital and service in Vietnam with the Marine Corps.
