Ford Considers Inland-Scholz site for new plastics plant
Ford Motor Company weighs four sites for an additional plastics manufacturing plant including the vacant Inland-Scholz Housing Systems facility on the east side of Milan along US-23. Saline Life Saving Course Promoted by Local Groups
Saline police, the Jaycees and Saline Community Hospital promote Operation Save A Life a free nine hour first aid course. Sessions run August 12 7 p m August 17 and August 19 at City Hall with Red Cross certification for attendees completing all three. Instructors from Jaycees SCH and police will supervise demonstrations using Resuscitator Annie lifelike manikin.

Wayne Heffington Appointed Saline Postmaster
The Postal Service named Wayne Heffington of Knollwood Court as Saline postmaster elect. He will be sworn in at 10 a.m. Friday at the Saline Post Office and take charge Saturday, after serving previously as assistant postmaster under Clarke Gordon and the late Tom Peplinski.

The Saline Fair Board outlined preparations for the Sept 7 to 11 fair with color coded daily admissions and Saturday designated Senior Citizens Day offering free entry to area elders.
