Community Fair organizers report added premium money and new exhibit classes to attract stronger entries. The event, open to all locals, features livestock tents, poultry rabbits and prize categories, with a tractor wagon-back contest, pet shows, costumes and a football game between Flat Rock and the local team. The fair runs October 4-5 with evening programs and a park finale.

The Southeast ern Pastoral conference met at Trinity Lutheran church on Sept 25 26 with delegates’ report from the last synodical convention in New Ulm Minn. Doctrinal papers an exegesis of first Corinthians twelve were on the program. Ladies Aid provided meals. Rev L Westendorf Monroe led Holy Communion service.
