Fire at Ted's Service Station Sparks Pan Open
A gas pan used to clean a tractor at Ted's Service station ignited after a worker bumped a starter spark. Saline fire trucks responded around 6 00 PM and found the blaze under control upon arrival on W Michi gan Ave.

Saline Resident Involved In Accident Tuesday Morning
A Saline resident was in a two car crash Tuesday at about 9 am on US 112 near State Street. Ruth H Brookins 712 E Michigan Ave Saline left onto State Street in a 1955 Plymouth colliding with Clarence H Thomson 1957 Ford. Injuries included Brookins face and right arm. sister passenger with right hip. Thomson bruises to both legs. his wife with facial cuts and possible fractured leg. All were treated at St Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. Police reported the Plymouth a total loss with about 1000 dollars damage to the Ford.
