Sim III Visits Grandfather’s Saline Newspaper Plant

A dashing visitor, Lt. j.g. Sim Wilson III, stopped at The Saline Observer to see the old shop his grandfather ran. He recently left Navy service in Boston and heads home to Marysville Washington, noting his grandfather Sim Wilson published the Observer for years.

4-H Club Meets At A Gall Home

The 4-H farmers met at Albert Gall’s home for a meeting. Officers for the year are Leroy Bulison president William Lutz secretary Charles Robison vice president and Jim Reid reporter. They received achievement awards and premium money. The next meeting is set for November 22.

Local social notes from Findley to Fort Benning visits

Mr and Mrs Lewis Ernst traveled to Florida stopping in Findley Ohio to visit Mrs Floyd Younge and Arlene. Mrs Ruth Shaw of Ypsilanti called on Mrs Bessie Collins. Sunday visitors were Mrs Elen Collins and Mrs Hisworth Collins of Tecumseh. Charles Neil Gross graduated from Fort Benning Radio School on November 1 and will oversee the Radio Shop there. Mr and Mrs Arthur Alber learned their daughter and her husband Mr and Mrs Kenneth Akers have a daughter weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces. Joyce Alber is the mother.

Arthur Lutz Suffers Severe Hand Injury

Arthur Lutz age ? 11030 Macon Road Saline suffered a severe hand injury last Thursday after his hand caught in a corn picker. He was taken to St Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor and remained there until Tuesday. The hand is mending satisfactorily at the time of writing.
