The Michigan Anti Tuberculosis association plans a Christmas sale from December 1 to 11 calling it a safe not a drive or campaign. It aims to sell 32,000,000 one cent seats to Michiganians, with funds used to combat tuberculosis in 1921, largely staying in local communities.
Co W Mellett offers a public auction on Friday Nov 12 1920 at 12 30 PM two miles south of Saline and five miles NW of Milan on Milan Saline road. Goods include three horses two milk cows nine lambs, twenty sheep two sows several hogs 75 chickens hay corn oats grain implements and household items with usual sale forms. Poultry experts at M. A. C. recommend a fattening ration to handle culls and slow maturing birds for market. A mix of corn meal middlings bran ground oats and scrap fed twice daily in crates with milk and molasses creates a pancake-like mash, enabling 200 fowls to fatten in fourteen days.
The body of Lieutenant Colonel Robert C. Gildart, son of William B. and Henrietta Gildart, long time Chelsea residents, was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery after dying in Germany on February 21, 1919 from pneumonia. He was born in Stockbridge, graduated Albion High School in 1906, attended West Point, married Beatrice Armstrong of Annapolis, Maryland, and served at Fort Monroe and Corregidor, later commanded 16 German towns near the end of World War I. His father, a former Suffolk attorney, ran a shop at the corner of the old wooden store site.
One hundred barrels of flour will be the initial output at the Henry Ford grist mill in Dearborn Michigan. The mill will source wheat from the Ford farm and sell flour through Ford commissary stores at the factory blast furnaces and Fordson Tractor Plant. The process uses belt delivery, cleaning, bolting, and grading with finished flour stored in place. Groceries meat clothing shoes and drugs are sold at cost to Ford workers.

Attendance is encouraged and a 6 30 youth meeting follows, with an informal 7 30 worship hour and a forthcoming junior choir. Thursday November 9 hosts the first local conference with Dr A B Leonard.
