Gillen Rites Held for Fred R Gillen of Watkins Lake
Fred R Gillen aged 66 died Tuesday after a brief illness at his Watkins Lake home near Pontiac. He was born December 24 1877 in Saline son of John and Hilla Gillen and served as Washtenaw County deputy sheriff 1900 1904 under his father. Surviving are his wife Lali Harmon son Harmon Gillen of Detroit six brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held last Thursday at Albert Hi Crosby mortuary Detroit with burial in Oakwood Cemetery Saline.

Sigmund L. Klager 52 of 9665 Burmeister road Bridgewater township died Monday morning at University hospital after a week's illness. Born January 18 1892 in Saline township he was a son of George and Magdalena Klager. He lived in Saline and Bridgewater all his life and belonged to St John’s Lutheran Church. He married Melvina Schumacher on April 14 1926. Survivors include four sons Theron W. Klager Lloyd Roy K and William G at home one brother Edwin C Klager and two sisters Mrs Eugene Betz and Mrs Edward Burmeister. Funeral services 1:30 this afternoon at the residence and 2 o'clock at St John’s Church with Rev Martin Phillips officiating. interment in St John’s cemetery.
